"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11

The Hard Truth Nobody Is Saying

Self help can name your pain. Only God can actually heal it.

75%
of people who pursue self help report feeling stuck in the same patterns within six months.
That is not a failure of effort. That is a failure of source.

The books are not wrong. The therapy is not wrong. The journaling and the routines — none of it is wrong.

But none of it was built to do what only the Word of God can do.

Romans 12:2 does not say improve your mind. It says be transformed by the renewing of it. Metamorphoo. Complete transformation from the inside out. Not a self help project. A Holy Spirit project.

And that is exactly what this show is about. Real scripture. Real tools. Real talk about what it looks like to let God rebuild the broken places that self help could only describe.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

Tori's Story

I am not
who I used to be.

There has never been a time in my life I can remember that was not in turmoil about something.

From the time I could walk, drugs, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and poverty all had a stronghold on my life. And not just on me. On the generations that came before me. It was in the walls of where I grew up. It was in the blood I was born into. Back then I did not have words for any of it. I did not know what a generational curse was. I just knew that something was very wrong and I was going to find a way out of it.

So I searched.

High. Low. Down the bottle. Through the drugs. Through relationships that were no good for me. I ran from it. And I do not mean that metaphorically. I mean I literally left town. Multiple towns. Multiple times. Left the state. Packed whatever I had and put distance between me and the thing I was carrying as if geography was going to fix what was broken in my soul.

Here is what I learned about running.

You cannot outrun the devil. He is patient. He is strategic. And he will follow you across every state line you cross.

But here is the other thing I learned.

You cannot outrun Jesus either.

He was in every city I ran to. He was in every rock bottom I hit. And friend, when I say I hit rock bottom I want you to know that I would think I had finally landed and then I would look down and discover it got more bottomer than that.

I sank into a pit that was started before I was even born. Dug by hands that came before mine. And then I picked up that shovel myself and I dug deeper. Further. Darker. Into places I genuinely did not know if I was going to come back from.

Suicide attempts. Losses I cannot undo. Years I cannot get back.

Until one day I stopped digging.

Not because I suddenly had it together. Not because the circumstances changed. Not because I finally read the right book or found the right person or said the right prayer in the right order on the right day.

I stopped because I ran out of everything else to try and I got on my knees and I said God. If you are real. If you actually see me in this pit. If any of this is true. I need you to be it. I need you to be the thing.

And He was.

But I want to be honest with you because you deserve honesty more than you deserve a pretty testimony. Jesus freed me. And then I had to learn how to love a life of being freed. And that was its own kind of hard. Because when all you have known is survival mode, peace feels suspicious. When all you have known is chaos, quiet feels like something is wrong. When all you have known is running, staying in one place feels terrifying.

It was not a quick fix. It was not a three step plan. It was the slow, faithful, daily work of letting God rebuild what years of pain had torn down.

It was possible.

And now it is your turn.

I do not know what your pit looks like. I do not know if you dug it yourself or if someone handed you a shovel before you were old enough to know what you were doing with it. I do not know if you are in the middle of it right now or if you are standing at the edge looking down wondering how you got here.

But I know this.

He was in my pit. He is in yours. And He is not waiting for you to climb out before He shows up. He is already there in the dark with you saying I see you. I have always seen you. And I have never once stopped coming for you.

That is the whole show right there. That is why we are here.

She Survived So You Could Hear This

That little girl did not know
what was coming.

She did not know the years ahead would include things no child should carry. She did not know it would take decades to find her way back to herself.

But God knew. And He kept her. And He rebuilt her. And now she gets to sit across from you — in your earbuds, on your screen, in your 11pm search for hope — and tell you He will do the same for you. Every single time.

This is not a polished testimony with a clean ending. This is a real woman with a real past and a real God who did not let her story end in the pit.

Your story does not end there either.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

— Psalm 147:3
